For 20 years Walter Klose has been running the Gasthaus zum Gupf together with his wife Manuela. At an altitude of over 1000 meters, he spoils his guests with gastronomic highlights. Wine lovers also get their money's worth here: In the "treasure chamber" 30,000 bottles are stored.
The roots of Silvia Manser's elegant cuisine are in Switzerland and the surrounding area, but she also likes to accentuate with more exotic flavours, creating little total works of art. The wine selection, put together by her husband Thomas, is also outstanding.
Here you will find outstanding Swiss cuisine and an equally great view of the lake. All ingredients come from Switzerland and are transformed into delicious down-to-earth dishes by an experienced kitchen team. This is accompanied by a nice selection of fine wines.
At Triechli there is a great view of Lake Constance. The ingredients come mainly from the surrounding area. Host Sabine Künnemann comes from the Baltic Sea, so there is a special focus on fish, but there are also classics like cordon bleu and veal liver.
Chef Stefan Fritsche's cuisine transcends borders. Although a lot of regional dishes are served, such as the cordon bleu with meat from the restaurant's own butchery, the menu also includes Mediterranean and Far Eastern-inspired dishes.
Die Weid is one of the most sustainable restaurants in eastern Switzerland. Chef Ivanassèn Berov's dishes are based primarily on trout from his own farm, refined with mushrooms and herbs he collects himself. He cooks with green electricity and sustainably produced water.
Everyone will find the right dish at the Bären. In the cozy restaurant of the day, you can enjoy the traditional food, and in the gourmet restaurant, Dietmar Wild cooks elegant dishes with Mediterranean influences. Jeanette Pufahl attentively takes care of the guests. The wine cellar is also impressive.
In picturesque Hundwil in Appenzell, the Rössli serves local specialities and seasonally changing specials, such as venison in the fall. The house specialities include Fondue Chinoise and Bourguignon with fresh meat or tofu and many side dishes; all available throughout the year.
