Pan Pacific Hotels accelerates expansion

The opening of Parkroyal Langkawi Resort in Malaysia is the latest addition to its growing portfolio.

In mid-February, Pan Pacific Hotels Group launched its newest hotel: The Parkroyal Langkawi Resort in Malaysia on the shores of Pantai Tengah, its fifth in Malaysia. The beachfront resort has 301 rooms, ranging from deluxe to one-to-three-bedroom villas. Dining options include an all-day restaurant, which offers a range of local favourites and international dishes, and a modern restaurant and bar overlooking the Andaman Sea, which offers seafood dishes with Southeast Asian influences and a farm-to-table garden concept.

The business, a member of Singapore-listed UOL Group Limited, accelerates its expansion with this latest addition to its portfolio of hotels, resorts and serviced suites in 30 cities across Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe.

“In the next two years, we are committed to growing the Parkroyal brand with the addition of nine properties in gateway cities that include Tokyo, Malacca, Dalian, Siem Reap, Jakarta, and Hanoi, where we will be well-placed across these strategic locations to take advantage of the travel demand,” said Richard Tan, Vice President of Operations, Pan Pacific Hotels Group. Business and leisure travels are slowly resuming, with the overall tourist arrivals expected to reach 80 to 95 per cent of pre-pandemic levels, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.
